This is the album cover for Enter Shikari's second album 'Common Dreads' which was released on June the 15th 2009. The name of the band is written in symbols which resemble the letters that are in their name, this is how the band usually presents their name on single and album covers and also on merchandise. This makes the name of the band stand out on the shelf as it looks very different to any other band name that may be on album covers around it on shelves, it also looks aesthetically pleasing to the consumer. The background image of the album cover looks to be drawn map of the world, this works with the idea of the album and the album title track which contains the lyrics "here to unite, through common dreads", the map and the album titles represents people uniting across the world. The album title is in a hand written style of text this fits well with the hand written style of the map and makes seem as though the band themselves have written this and want to world to unite. The main image on the album cover is a red lion, extremely similar to the emblem of the british lion. The lion connotates that they are a very patriotic band and that they love their country, this also shows in one of the songs on their album where they attack Tony Blair and Gordon Brown for ruining the country that they love. The lion being over the map show that although they love their country and are very patriotic they want the whole world to unite and come together.
